"The virtual disk has not been initialized. Running a consistency check may result in inconsistent messages in the log. Are you sure youwant to contimue?"

We are running a Windows Server 2012 R2 standard with Intel Embedded Server RAID Technology II storage controllers. Disk Management says that the drives are healthy but are getting some disk errors in event viewer. When we run the Intel RAID Web Console 2 utility consistency check we get the follow popup window "The virtual disk has not been initialized. Running a consistency check may result in inconsistent messages in the log. Are you sure you want to continue?"

Why would that be if disk manger says the drives are healthy?

Hello everyone,

S1200BTL not able to POST with NVMe attached

Hi all,

I am trying to install an NVMe (samsung 950 pro) device into a S1200BTL motherboard with a Xeon E3 processor. The system posts fine without the device but if I attach it, the system will fail to POST. I have updated to the latest firmware but still no luck. I tried installing this in another sandy bridge based system and it works without a problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Chris

SS4200 E All Drives Failed?

I have been running the SS4200 e for about 1 month with no problems. It is populated with 4x1TB (Parity RAID) hard drives and over the past month have consolidated all my backups, etc onto it. So far I was impressed!

Today I found I couldn't access any files and when I looked on the dshboard it said "Faulted" and wants me to overwrite all the data. The LEDs on the front (the 4 drive indicators and the power light) are all solid Amber (not blinking).

1.png

Ooooh. Not good. Looking at the drives they cannot all have failed (4 brand new drives 1 month old...impossible!). But according to the following screen they have!

2.png

I have tried resetting (including fatory reset) and powering off completely but its still the same. I have 1.6 TB of data on them.

I could maybe understand 1 or even 2 drives failing, but all 4? I've ordered 2 more drives which should arrive tomorrow, but that won't help me get all the data

off.

Any suggestions?

Can anyone please suggest whether below listed applications are compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2?

S1200BTL chassis fan running full speed

$

Hello,

I have an S1200BTL motherboard and an P4303xxsfcnna chassis.  I've used Intel Deployment Assistant to update BIOS, BMC, FRU, etc.  The chassis fans are still running at full speed.  The BIOS only has an option to change to altitude, but the fan speed is set to auto and cannot be configured.

Any reason why the fans would be running full speed on both of my systems?

Thanks

CPU fans at 100% on S5500BC in "other" chassis

Hi,

I recently bought a S5500BC on ebay and its doing its job well. But the fans are allways at 100% and i would prefer a little bit more silence. I have updated my firmware (incl. BIOS) and nothing changed. I found a post about fan speeds in non-intel chassis (Found the solution to loud fans when using "other chassis" option when updating Firmware on a server board) but if i look in my BC_BMC.sdr i cannot find 100% aka 64h settings. Does anyone knows what i need to change in my config?

Hi

I have purchased an Intel W2600CR board - PBA G21602-306 and cant get it to boot.

It either comes up with Orange System Status LED and LSB lit or I get Green System Staus LED and post code 35h (LSB,#2,#4,#5).

I have tried a single E5-2670 and dual E5-2670 CPUs. (V1 CPUs)

If I remove the memory I get 3 beeps as expected.

The memory I have in is Hynix 4GB 2Rx4 PC3-10600R-9-10-E1 at the moment just a single DIMM.

But I have aslo tried up to 4 DIMS from my Dell C6100 with no success.

Any advice appreciated.

SFP+ transceivers and twinaxial cables supported by the Intel X710DA2

Hi, I need to know what models of Intel (or other brands) SFP+ transceiver modules and twinaxial cables are fully supported and compatible with the Intel X710DA2 converged network adapter. I searched through the Intel website to try and find some Intel branded ones but could only find modules and cables that the website said are only compatible with the Intel X520 converged network adapters. Thanks in advance for any info.

S5000VSA CPU not showing

$

Hi,

I bought few months ago used server with Intel board S5000VSASASR. It was originally equipped with two Xeon 5030 and 4 GB of RAM. Both CPUs working. Then I was working on some projects and didn't have time to watch if everything if OK or not. Then out of the blue I noticed I have only one CPU. Which seemed strange, so I tried updating BIOS, tried everything like cleaning CPU slots, change heat transfer paste, but nothing helped. So I decided to buy new CPU since they are really cheap. I choose 5405 - bought two of them and still the same problem. Both CPUs are working, since only one is showing no matter how I switch them. But the strange thing is - BIOS is showing only CPU in SLOT 2. Which the board shouldn't be able to do. Can you point me what could be wrong and which utility install to troubleshoot what is wrong? Thanks a lot!

What is the successor for the S5520SC Motherboard?

HI,

I have an SC5600 chasis and two E5645 processors. I recon that my current motherboard supports a certain level of hardware upgrades.

If I only want to replace my motherboard and keep the chasis and the processors, what motherboard should I buy as a more recent version (supports DDR5 for example)?

Thanks!

By changing new SSD also we get same error.

What could be the reason, Problem with OS/SSD Lot or OS compatibility on SSD issue?

Server board s2600cw2 and Crossfire compatibility

I'm trying to enable AMD crossfire on a S2600CW2 without luck.

Depending on the manual version i find this sentence.

"The server board supports up to three full length full height double-width PCIe cards on slot 2, slot 4, and slot 6, and supports 2-way and 3-way Nvidia* SLI and ATI* CrossFire cards"

Before I spend anymore time on this, i would like a definite answer if it is possible. Does anyone know?

BIOS/RAID BIOS screen would hold about one second, then system would run into black screen.

Recently, one HD (RAID 5) has broken, and we reboot the machine.

But after the reboot, we cannot boot into BIOS & RAID BIOS, also cannot boot into OS either. BIOS/RAID BIOS screen would hold about one second, then system would run into black screen.
