Intel S5400SF CPU Change Causing Errors

I recently purchased new processors for my server. I was previously using 2 L5410s, and purchased 2 Xeon X5492s (matched pair).
I do know that the official compatibility does not list the X5492 for this board, however I noticed on the product specification pages that the X5492 only works on the same chipset and server system that the board works on (pictures attached).
However, that is not my current concern.
When swapping to the X5492s, the server fails to boot and I get 3 long beeps from POST. I looked it up, and every solution says its a memory issue.
I tried rebooting with only 1 DIMM chip, 1 pair, etc, but nothing has worked so far. When I switch back to the L5410s, the server boots perfectly.
I know that this board and CPU are no longer supported, but any help would be very appreciated.

Why does the keyboard stop working in configuration utility?
I'm trying to upgrade this older server, PowerEdge T110 II, to use a RAID Controller that supports RAID 5. The card is installed and seems to be recognizing the old drives. I pressed 'F' during boot to get them out of foreign state but when I go in to the BIOS Configuration Utility the keyboard doesn't work. I've tried multiple different keyboards. Someone please help!

Motherboard S2600CW cannot read Xeon Phi CoProcessor? Pls help.
I have motherboard S2600CW. I installed 02 Xeon E5 2600, they worked well. After that, I installed 01 Xeon Phi CoProcessor into PCI. I set Bios again and try many ways. But the system still cannot read Xeon Phi CoProcessor. Pls help me to solve it. Thank you.

Raid Controller RS3UC080 - LSI 3008 - Missing disk
We have a Supermicro chassis with a LSI 3008 HBA card. Installed FreeNas 9.3-RELEASE, but realized there were only 35 disks visible to the OS. The missing disk is in bay 24 (starting at 0 - 1st disk on rear backplane).
Both in the card bios and booting a live gnu/linux shows all 36 disks and said disk is functional.
Some research on the web suggest using the lsiutil to fix the problem, but we can't find the FreeNas version of the lsiutil.

Intel modular server - Ram failure. How to identify the broken bank?
Hi everyone,
one of my two server had warning led on.
Web interface say:

- Detailed Description:
- Sensor: Fault Indication; The Server 2 Fault LED has been illuminated. This amber LED is located on the front of the server and is used to warn of conditions that require attention.
- Cause:
- Chassis Sensor: Fault Indication
- Action:
- Check the Server 2 events tab for additional events that may show the cause of the fault. Using the graphical user interface, mouse over the server's status icon to reveal conditions that may contribute to the server fault. Take actions to clear these fault conditions and the Fault LED will be turned off.
- Extra Data:
- s:68:"Raw IPMI (hex): Gen:2000 Num:5b Type:c0 EDir:6f ED1:03 ED2:ff ED3:ff";
From the linux server running inside the host, the log says that a RAM BANK is broken.
How can I identify the fault one, without rebooting server with a RAM check tools?

S5000XALR status light blinking green power button dissabled
Hello I recently bought a S5000XALR motherboard and I have installed it into a 4u chassis with no special features, just an on/off and reset switch, 3 leds, and 2 usb ports. I have added 4 8gb FBDIMMS and 4 4gb FBDIMMS for the memory and 2 intel Xeon X5470 processors. When I plug in the power cord all the fans, 3 sys fans, 2 cpu fans, and the power supply fan all spin and the status light starts to blink the green and amber then goes to a steady green for a few seconds and starts to blink green meaning there is a degrate somewhere. The power button on the control remains disabled and the fans keep spinning. I have tried to use only 2 sticks of memory and even one and changed the ones I was using to check if there might be a problem with one of them. I have tried using only one processor and tried each by it's self. I have tried unhooking all hard drives and cd's and even the 2 usbs on the case. When I start with no processor in I get the beeping, but when I start with no ram in I don't get the beeping that Intel has to;d me I should be getting without memory, and the status light still stays blinking green instead of the solid amber it should be. I have also tried using 2 different processors to no avail. any thoughts on to where I should go from here with the trouble shooting would be very much appreciated. This is the second S5000XALR I have bought the first blew a transistor when I plugged it in I'm just hoping this isn't another bad board.

Hard disks disabled - one still shows up in bbosys
Hi there,
I am trying to restore a BIOS configuration onto a S2600WT server and it fails because the system boot order doesn't match the configuration. That's understood - and syscfg /bbosys indeed shows one hard disk in third position although all hard disks have been marked as disabled in the boot maintenance manager. That's somewhat inconsistent with syscfg /bbo that only lists the devices that are expected (system is PXE booted only). See attached screenshot.
How do I ensure that the hard disk is not listed in /bbosys so I can restore the BIOS configuration successfully?

can i have the same vlan on host nic1 and ipmi lan ?
The situation looks as follows:
1) server with two nic (NIC1 and NIC2, but we only use NIC1)
2) in linux on server NIC1 (name eth0) i create tagged vlan:

With this configuration i can't connect to ipmi from Linux when i run ping 169.254.203.1 i don't receive response
ARP table on the switch show only mac od the NIC1 in linux host.
I am doing something wrong or such a solution does not work?

From what i read ipmi 1.5 isn't supporting vlan tagging. NIC is connected to switcha with configured access vlan(untagged traffic or port vlan)
Unfortunate ipmi lan doesn't respond to icmp traffic.
Attached configuration works properly on other servers, but this model does not want to cooperate. I checked the configurations on other identical server configurations and the behavior is the same everywhere.

Does latest RSTe supports 4Kn drive?
Hi,
I'm trying to create RAID by Intel RSTe with 4Kn drive but unfortunately it does not work for me, after surveying that seems Intel RSTe does not support 4Kn drive:

So may I know if current version of RSTe does not support, or say that RSTe will never support the 4Kn drive?

S3200sh ipmi configuration
Has anyone configured ipmi lan interface on s3200sh. I was using http://osdir.com/ml/hardware.ipmitool.devel/2006-07/msg00019.html to configure s5000pal but this procedure doesn't apply to S3200sh.
