Hi!

At home I'm using Dell's T300 with two integrated ethernet RJ-45 network controllers, beside that I also use two modem gateways and network controller AT-8024 24-ports connected to COMM port in the rear of computer. So many ports and connections to monitor, data to virtualize with a lot of knowledge to intercept virus with ethernet scanner or spomewhere in between other different multiple booting OS. I am using Winwindows server 20120R2 and windows 8.1 x64. I am trying to say simply is SAFE to clean the web iwith plain HTML language software operable in WWW line performing different search engine objects and IP domans, so BIG DATA and a lot of software needed to monitor a lot of hardware but IT can be done!!!@. I would instal multiple antivirus software on multiple RAID  hard disks and on ports!!!Scann http:\\www is easy and effective solution and to monitor more gathered info..

R1304RPOSHBN fan noise

Even after doing a firmware update, the R1304RPOSHBN seems to have pretty excessive fan noise, especially compared to previous generation platforms, e.g. the S1200BTL.

Not the "jet taking off" sound like before the firmware update, but it seems to be noise for the PSU fan.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Intel S3200SH not starting

The standby power LED is lit, but nothing happens when I hit the button apart from a click noise from the piezo buzzer, however when I unplug it from the wall the fans spin for a second.

I thought this might have something to do with the power supply but I have tried 3 and it didn't work. I ended up jumpering the supply, and while it turned on all of the diagnostic LEDs were red. Intel's manual makes no mention of this code.

I have tried swapping CPUs, RAM, PSU, Cleared CMOS, taking out expansion cards, everything.

Any ideas?

Integrated BMC Web Console Event Log doubt?

Hello,

I using the software Integrated BMC Web Console to confirm my Storage status(Main Board S2600CW),

and software report the Event log contain "reports the power supply's presence has been detected - Deasserted ",

anyone knows how can the main board detect the power supply deasserted or asserted?

Any IO? or PMBus protocol?

S2600GZ Despair....

Hello, I did a rather optimistic thing and bought the above mentioned server board off ebay, thinking I might be able to get it working. It hasn't really worked out. I gave it to an IT repair company, who seem to have given up. Any help would be greatly appreciated, before I reluctantly write this off as a silly mistake.

Basically, I'm getting a fatal error when powering on the board. I've referred to the manual, and deciphered the error beep code "1-5-1-2" as meaning "VR Watchdog timer sensor assertion - VR controller DC power on sequence was not completed in time"

Due to this fatal error, I can't get any video output, or a more helpful error code to work with, so my questions is, does anyone have any idea what may cause this? Should the board power on and produce a video output without being connected to fans, heat sinks, HDs etc? I was hoping to get a sign of life before spending any more money on the other components.

Thanks

Why is Intel Deployment Assistant showing older versions?

I just built a new server using an S1200V3RPL board. It has the following versions:
BMC: 1.10.5637
BIOS: 01.04.0002
ME:   03.00.05.068

SDR: 1.06

I booted the Intel Deployment Assistant CD, version 5.2 that shipped with the board. It displays the correct current versions that I have in the BIOS setup.
I select Get System Updates, from www.intel.com (recommended), DHCP and direct connection to Internet (I'm using a wired ethernet connection).
It then shows Update Package: 1.0 30-August 2013, and clicking Show Contents displays:
IBMC Ver: 1.08.5091

SDR Ver: 1.05

BIOS Ver: 01.03.0004

ME Ver: 03.00.04.209

All four appear to be older versions than what I already have installed. Why is the IDA offering me these older versions? There appear to be much newer versions if I check on the web. Should I just forget about using the IDA and update manually instead?
Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

I cannot seem to get 2 Radeon 290X video cards to link up in the primary and secondary x16 slots ( Bottom and next one up ). They both are recognized and display separately however they will not form a crossfire link. Is there any bios setting for this in the UEFI or standard bios to fix this. These cards do not utilize the older bridge link they communicate through the pci-e bus. I have followed AMDs recommendations to no avail.

RS2BL040 raid rebuild

$

Hi,

I have a RS2BL040 on esxi 5.  Recently I had an outage of a disk on my raid1 DG.  I couldn't find exact instructions on how to rebuild so going off of what little I saw I added the new drive and it wasn't very apparent how to rebuild on the new drive so I pulled out the bad drive and that was a BIG mistake.  Now the controller has marked the bad drive as missing in the disk group and I cannot remove it or rebuild it.  The only thing that it will let me do is to build a new DG with the new drive.  I tried putting back the defective drive but it won't match it up with the drive in the raid1 DG in order to run the rebuild.  I've tried several things now including direct removal of the bad drive but I am getting an error saying "unacceptable reconstruction parameter"

I am using the raid controller bios and not the web console.  There is not reason for that other than the raid web console seems extremely difficult to install on esxi.  I have a feeling that the web console allows more actions, but I wanted to ask before going to the trouble of installing it.

Let me know what you think.

thanks!

rmm4 mount images without browser?

$

I was wondering if it is possible to mount images without use jloader.

I use mostly a setup that has no X running; which makes impossible for me to run the web interface and load the remote KVM.

I was looking at the docs and I can't see any way to actually do what the jviewer option "Device--> Redirect Floppy/USB Key image" does.

If JViewer does that, I assume that there is an equivalent to tell RMM4 to do the same operation via console?

I tried to ssh on the address where the web interface run, logging into smash, but even there I don't see a way to mount images, so I can boot from it.

Could you please give some guidance about how to accomplish the same that the Jviewer applet does, when remotely redirect media? Thanks

S5520UR do not not recognized PCI-E 1x controller based on sil3132

Hello friends!

I have several platforms SR2600URBPR with S5520UR motherboard, with latest BIOS, BMC, etc.

I tried to install to five slot PCI-Express active riser ASR26XXFHLPR two PCIe 1x SiI3132 based controllers with two e-SATA connectors, with firmvare 7.7.0.3-7.7.0.6.

When server starts the BIOS is not seen sil3132 cards, respectively, the OS does not see it too.

In this case, the server mb INTEL S3200SH with the same controllers work Ok, and are detected without any problems.

Any ideas?

Server Board S1200V3RPL

CPU: XEON E3-1231 V3

Memory: Crucial DDR3-1600 ECC (2x8 GB)

Board does nothing - green LED showing power near the power connection on the motherboard lights up but nothing else.  This is the second board that I have tried.  Have also switched out the PSU in case that was the issue.  No startup, no error codes, no beeps, nothing.  Any ideas what I am doing wrong?  Could I have gotten two bad motherboards?  Any ideas on how to diagnose?

Will the Mezzanine Module slot still avaliable, when a Core i3 CPU is installed on S1200BTL motherboard?

$

Accroding to the specifications, the Intel Server Board S1200BT Family supports both Xeon E3-1200 and Core i3 CPUs.

The ARK shows that Xeon E3 has a max 20 of PCIe lanes and Core i3 has only 16 PCIe lanes:

11.jpg

Here is the block diagram of this motherboard below:

22.jpg

16 PCIe lanes are already used by Slot 4, Slot 5 and Slot 6.

So, what will happen when I install a Core i3 CPU on S1200BTL motherboard?

Will the Mezzanine Module slot still avaliable?

Thanks!
