Unable to monitor physical disk and RAID

Dear,

 

I'm busy configuring my N-Able enviroment to monitor my servers. Currently i'm running into an issue regarding SNMP and physical disk health.

I've configured the server with the software:

  • Intel Multi-Server Manager;
  • Intel Multi-Server Manager Agent;
  • Intel Server Management SNMP Subagent;
  • Raid Web console 2.

The server is running Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard x64.

 

I can monitor everything else just fine, the fans, temprature and the PSU's work. The only thing i cannot monitor are my Disks an RAID configuration.

 

I have installed and configured the SNMP service.

 

Am i calling on the wrong OID's? The OID's that are getting queried by my monitoring software are as follows:

 

1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.4.1.4.2.1.2.1.1

1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.4.1.4.2.1.2.1.10

1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.4.1.4.2.1.2.1.24

 

1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.4.1.4.2.1.2.1.25

1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.4.1.4.2.1.2.1.15

 

I have tried a manual request with these OID's and i got a No Such name error Which could mean i'm missing the required mib's

 

So i'm wondering, have i missed some software? Or is it because my OID's arent right?

SR2625URLX Server

Hi,

 

My SR2625URLX server has a beep code 1-5-4-4 and will not POST.  I have tried changing CPUs, RAM, and power supplies.  From the other posts I have read, it seems the remaining fault is the  PDB.  Should look for any other faulty parts?  I have ordered a PDB.

 

In trying with an ATX power supply, I was able to get to a video display so I think the PDB is at fault.  Does this seem reasonable?

S2400SC BIOS Update Failure

Trying to update board from R02.02.0002 to R02.05.0004 or R02.06.0005 but receive the attached error.   BMC updated fine.  Any help would be appreciated.

Intel server board S1200SPL RSTe software causes BSOD in Windows server 2012 R2

Hi geeks,

 

I got Windows server 2012 R2 installed in Intel server board S1200SPL successfully, and all drivers are up to date. the latest drivers are from link Downloads for Intel® Server Board S1200SPL . but when I open Rapid Storage Technology Enterprice software, BSOD occurs with error : DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL(iaStorA.sys).  people recommended to downgrade the driver, which I have tried, but it still does not work.

In BIOS settings I chose RAID -> RSTe not AHCI, cuz I need to set RAID5 for storage partition.

Upgrading S5520SCR Motherboard ...rank limits?

I am upgrading an older system for graphics, Photoshop/Premiere.

 

Some RAM concerns; they are readily available as Dual Ranked 4x or 8x. But I can't find the motherboard limits on total ranks. ...Having trouble understanding some specs...
Am also told on other forums that although not listed as beyond DDR3 1333 capable, DDR3 1600 will work. 1600 are all that are readily available.
With twelve slots I would like to run twelve "DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Dual Ranked • x8 based • Registered • ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V • 1024Meg "

They are available as 8x or 4x, both Dual Ranked.

 

A bit more info: 'am still investigating all possibilities, but hope/intend to upgrade from DualE5620 2.4GHz Dual Quad processors up to 5690's.

 

From a nvidia FX1800 card to a GTX 980 Ti Hybrid graphics card.

 

 

And from a WD Veloci Raptor SATA HD to a 1Tb WD Blue Pc SSD

 

An obvious novice, any help, cautions, suggestions will be appreciated!

Help Me! Model S2600CP

Hello dear users! Help me please to launch my S2600СP server.

I have this problem:

It was installed system Windows Server 2008 x64 R2. Very noisy coolers and I decided to update the BIOS to automatically adjust the noise coolers. I downloaded the update "S2600CP_SFUP_BIOS02060002_ME020107328_BMC0125r9398_FRUSDR111" and set them with the windows command line. Update was successful, but after I turned off the server and turn it on again, it is no longer loaded, again noisy cooler and there is no signal on the monitor.

I read the instructions, move the jumper to position 2-3 and would like to install the BIOS firmware from the flash drive, but I did not work, writes: BIOS INSTALLED: SE5C600.86B.02.03.0003

Platform ID: S2600CP

And flashing cursor to the bottom, no processes not.

 

 

I ask your help, please tell me what should I do?

While installing Vmware Esxi 5.5 on Intel S2400BB. It does not detect Hard drives.

Hi everyone,

I have above specification server. I am facing problem when installing Wmware Esxi5.5 or any lower version of Esxi. During installation Esxi detect no hard drive it show like this.

S2600CP CPU wird nicht erkannt!

Hallo,

 

ich habe einen Server mt dem Board S2600CP auf dem bereits eine CPU installiert war.

 

Installierte CPU Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz

 

Auf dem zweiten Sockel wurde eine weiter CPU Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz eingesetzt.

 

Im BIOS wird jedoch keine zweite CPU angezeigt. Auch zusätzlich eingetzter Speicher wird nicht angezeigt.

Wird die neue CPU auf Sockel 1 gesetzt wird diese auch im BIOS angezeigt nur der zweite Sockel gibt keinerlei Sockel ans BIOS zurück.

 

Sockel zwei ist mit Strom versorgt.

 

 

Kennt jemand dieses Problem? Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen?

Dual Processor vs Single Processor blades

We are in the process of spec'ing out a system to virtualize our data center. We are looking at a 4 blade system with dual E5-2620 v4 (8 core) and 386 GB RAM per blade. During this process someone on our team suggested going to a single processor (E5-2683 v4 16 core) and same amount of memory. This would save us approx $25,000 on licensing of VMWare and Veeam (per processor licensing) when you consider a second identical setup for DR.

 

All the vendors don't want to spec out the single processor setup, but cannot give an exact reason why. We are trying to do our due diligence on this single proc idea since the saving would be considerable.

 

Can anyone give us a technical reason why we shouldn't go with single processor blades (e.g. performance) and why?

 

FYI - The blades would support 386 GB RAM in a single proc setup.

Ubuntu server drivers for 2600WT PWM controller?

What Linux drivers are available for the PWM fan controller on 2600WT boards?  I ran sensors-detect followed by pwmconfig, but pwmconfig reports that "There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed".  I'm running Ubuntu 16.04.1 server.  When I load the server heavily, the CPUs sometimes get throttled due to overheating.  As a workaround, I configured the fans to always run at a high RPM in the BIOS, but that's very noisy.

Im Intel Support kann ich keinen passenden  finden oder ich erkenne ihn nicht.

Auf der Primergy läuft zur Zeit win Server 2003 und ich muss eine DAW Software auf win 7 installieren

Eng: Motherboard s5520ur need a RAID controller which supports SAS hard disk volumes 1,8Tb, currently worth Raid Controller RS2BL080 he does not find them. Tell me which controller is suitable for this motherboard?

Xeon memory bandwidth

Hi,

 

I'm trying to understand the maximum (theoretical) memory bandwidth of Xeon processors so that our applications can maximize their bandwidth.  I thought I had it figured out, but now I have a processor where I don't understand how the maximum numbers make sense.

 

 

Here's an example I think I understand:  Xeon E5-2630 v3 (Haswell-EP).  The maximum memory bandwidth (according to ARK) is 59 GB/s.  It has 4 memory channels and supports up to DDR4-1866 DIMMs.  The peak transfer rate of a DDR4-1866 DIMM is 14933 MB/s, and 14933 * 4 = 59732 MB/s, so this adds up.

 

 

What I don't understand: Xeon E7-4830 v3 (Haswell-EX).  The maximum memory bandwidth is 102 GB/s.  But it also supports up to DDR4-1866 and has 4 memory channels!  So how does it get 102 GB/s?  One theory is that the E7-4830 v3 has two memory controllers.  While cpu-world confirms this, it also says that each controller has 2 memory channels, so it still doesn't add up.

 

 

I'd appreciate any help from the experts over here.  Is the number of memory controllers documented by Intel anywhere?  I couldn't find it.

Update EFI S5000 PSL

Hi,

I need update my RAID Controller, but I can't update by EFI. The command is not recognized.

After doing some research, I realized that my EFI is in version 1.1 and needs to upgrade to version 2.0 or higher (S5000 PSL)

How can I do this?

How to reset the superuser password for RMM2.

"Slight" problem. We lost the superuser password for one of our RMM2. I cannot find any procedure in any of the available documents, on how to reset the admin superuser password for this above module. Unfortunately no other users are defined on the RMM2.

Question: how to reset the superuser password on the RMM2? The server is physically accessible.

No jumpers on the RMM2
