Intel S5000PSL CPU Fault

Gang

 

Im after some advice, ive recently purchased an Intel S5000 board.  I know this is out of support and nearly 10 year old tech, however this is for a project NAS, where I intend to use Nexenta and as such the tech doesnt need to be great as long as its 64Bit.  The problem I have, is that as the board POSTs it detects CPU faults.This is heard through the BMC controller which does the 1-5-2-3 beeps. CPU: Configuration error (e.g., VID mismatch)  Ive tried another set of CPUs at it does the same

 

CPUs are E5110 and E5320.

 

There are no other errors.  I cant figure this out.  I do get to see the splash screen, but cant access the BIOS, and it just goes through the intel PXE boot cycle???

 

The power supply isnt the best its an Artic Blue+ 850  could this be the issue?  Loathed to spend more on a PSU if its a board fault and vice-versa

 

Does anyone have any suggestions.

2600CO motherboard shuts down after 10 sec start

If someone could help with this issue

System was working perfect for a year without any changes.

Then after I carefully transported it to another place it shuts down in around 10 sec after start.

And the PSU keeps working.

As well the system starts without Power swith even being connected to the front panel, just after turning the PSU on.

 

So far checked the Videocard, different PSU, battery out-in. Maybe it is usefull to mention that when I plug out the PS connector from any of the CPUs, the system starts without turning off with the another remaining CPU, but showing nothing on a screen.

Maybe someone could help with that, I would be very greatful.

 

The local service charged me 55 euros for looking inside and just said-something with the MB, buy a new one,  not really helpful.

LIthium ion battery on AXXRSBBU8

If the onboard battery of the AXXRSBBU8 BBU is old and depleted, can it be replaced with just a new battery, or does the entire AXXRSBBU8 need to be purchased again?  If the answer is yes to just replacing the battery, what is a good source for purchasing the battery?

Hello,

 

Just took delivery of a new Intel server, installed the SEL software to monitor events, and had several events that are a bit of a concern.

 

Board is a S2600CW (version H67035-224), 32GB RAM, 8HDDs.

 

The error that consistently pops up is as described above - "SAS IOC Temp has failed and may not be providing a valid reading" and "Management Subsystem Health, BMC FW Health (#0x10)."

 

Is this actually a hardware failure? Was something misconfigured by the system builder?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

 

This is for a brand-new S2600CW board, single power supply.

 

Green light is blinking, and the SEL has reported the following:

 

"CRITICAL EVENT: Pwr Unit Status reports the power unit has suffered a failure. (Power supply failure)" and "Integrated BMC - LUN#0 (Channel#0).

 

Do I have a bad power supply?

 

Any help is appreciated.

Alert with RS2BL080 RAID Controller, drives online

I have a RS2BL080 RAID Controller installed. All Drives are online but he gives me an 1 second to 2-3 second pause alert. He gives me no Errors not even in the Event Log from the RAID Web Console 2. Somebody has an idea?.

 


Edit: Okay i find this in the Event Log, maybe this helps

Placa Intel Server Board S1200BT

Prezados bom dia, possuo uma placa intel server Board S1200BT. A mesma apresenta ao ligar, um som contínuo de 5 Bips bem altos.  E em determinados momentos me deparo com o windows congelando sem funcionar rede,teclado ou mouse e voltando apenas mediante o reset manual. Alguém já viu algum erro do tipo?

Server S5520UR + Windows Server 2012R2 does not work with SSDSC2BA20 disks

Hi,

 

I installed Windows Server 2012R2 on my S5520UR platform. But the windows hangs up when I attach an SSD disk.

 

I'm attaching logs from the sysinfo utility.

 

Do you have any tip to help me ?

Hello.

 

I have : sc5300brp + Intel S5000PSL and green blink Status LED.

 

Green blink Status LED: some cpu fault, dimm killed.

HDD 10Tb not recognized in server SR2612UR

I have server SR2612UR with 12 SAS/SATA slots. 12 hdd slots connected to RAID RS25AB080 using active midplane (SAS Active Midplane Brd TCA-00277-01-C)

I insert HDD HUH721010AL5204 (10Tb) and it  not recognized. Other HDD's work well.

Where is the problem?

Hello, I have an Intel 1U Server with the S2600GL motherboard
I am unable to login via web management, login failed although I am sure that is the password.
Tried to ssh as well, I get

 

Failed to communicate with IPMI stack..

Discovery of Targets Failed......exiting

Initialization Of Smash Failed......Exiting

Connection to 192.168.77.19 closed.

 

Everything has been updated to latest firmware, management accessible via web and ssh. RMM4 key present

 

 

Is there a way to fully reset BMC to factory or erase all it's settings? Currently no joy with ipmitool cold reset...
Any advise please

How to use (& configure) the on-chip 16GB cache of the Xeon Phi processor?

I have a Xeon Phi 7210 processor as a stand-alone CPU (not co-processor) in a CentOS system and want to use its in-cache memory.
I would like to know how to configure it (I found a PDF from intel about the various configurations you can have on your Xeon Phi)
and how to allocate memory on it (I already tried hbw_malloc() from the memkind package but it crashes the program).

 

The OS sees 2 NUMA nodes, one node with the whole RAM and 256 cores (the actual 64 CPU cores * 4-way HT) and the other node with

just 16 GB RAM which I guess is the on-chip RAM. Thus I don't think it's configured in  cache mode and I should be able to malloc() it.

Платформа Intel 1U R1304RPOSHBN. Не могу зайти в BIOS. В инструкции сказано по функциональной клавише F2. При включении выводится сообщении о платформе, далее черный экран. Система перезагружается по сочетанию клавиш CTRL+ALT-+DELETE

S2600CP2J: How to boot from USB?

Hi everyone, I am running an Intel S2600CP2J motherboard in a DP config, and I have two separate SSDs attached to SATA ports 0 and 1. I would like to set up a multi boot setup with macOS Sierra on one drive and Windows 10 x64 on the other.

 

But, I am struggling immensely with getting the motherboard to recognise the two USB thumb drives I've set up as boot disks. For the Windows USB I've set it up as:

- FAT32
- Master Boot Record
- Used macOS diskutil to set up a Windows 10 ISO on the drive.

 

For the macOS Sierra boot disk:

- Mac OS Extended Journal

- Apple GUID Partition Map

- Unibeast to set up EFI installer for macOS Sierra installer

- Added Multibeast to the drive

 

I'm not quite sure what the issue is, but I simply cannot boot from either USB disk, not as a boot option nor from the EFI Shell.

 

Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

hola a todos, tengo problemas con la controladora SAS1064E retire 2 discos duros (estaban en raid 1) el S.O. me mostraba como una unidad D: pero y al colocarlos nuevamente en el servidor windows 2008 server ya no se visualiza esta unidad y en el administrador de discos si se puede ver pero pide activarlo, al hacerlo sale que no se encuentra el archivo. Si alguien me puede apoyar en la solucion

Intel active system console 7 не запускается

Здравствуйте

Не могу зайти в  active system console. UAC до установки отключил.

После установки открывается web страница с запросом имени и пароля. Ввожу логин и пароль, поля становятся серыми и на этом все. Через несколько минут опять форма становится активной.

ОС: Server 2012 R2

Платформа: R2308WTTYSR

Проблема наблюдается во всех браузерах. Система чистая, только установлены драйвера и обновления с windows update.

По советам с форумов установил компоненты ASP.NET и клиента SNMP. В свойствах системы папка C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\ASC к переменной path добавлена.

 

Пока писал, в первый раз появилась ошибка «You are offline!! Please check your network.».

 

Как все таки зайти в эту консоль?

S5520sc NO BOOT no beeps - dead!

Hello,

As this is my first despered post i must ask to forgive my language- it's not my mother's tongue.

MB S5520SC

1xe5620 xeon +

Intel Chassis +

32GB of RAM +

04 500GB Velociraptors RAID10

 

everything was fine until I reboot

After reboot,

there's no action . no fan spinning no boot screen no beeps- nothing except STATUS ID LED AMBER and 5V SB LED Green led

There's also this very quiet squeaky high sound coming form the MB - l

Anybody's got some idea how to fix this?

 

The 2x 8pinEPS plugs are pluged

Aux PWR 5pin power connector is connected

 

Well i beg for any ideas to check.
