S5500BC board with Micron 36JSZFS51272PZ1G4G1 ECC RAM in all slots will not run at max rated speed of 1333. I do get the three beep code on POST suggesting a memory problem, but the system boots and runs without apparent problems. The 32 GB of RAM seems to be fully recognized. Difficult to read the LED POST codes on boot, but there is a suggestion of a 0xEAh error (Channel Training Error). R0063 BIOS, two X5620's. What should I do to elucidate the problem? Otherwise, the system runs quite well.

Last message until 6 minutes later I powered up a computer to remove in and shutdown the system. Pulled the power plug, put it back in, powered everything up, and it's running right now without issue. Thoughts?
Edit: As a side note, the Intel Raid Web Console shows this drive cage with 2 power supplies. Always did. I only have one. So not sure if that's just how many it can hold or if it's just not intelligent enough to detect the number of drives.
Thanks.

s2600cw server board unable to detect the Add-in Video Card.
We owned 2 brand new identical servers with Intel Server Motherboard S2600CW. One of which installed with the graphic card Asus GeForce GTX 960, and the other using the on-board vga. Both has been working well. Recently, we have some adjustments to the servers. We took out the graphic card and installed into the other server. The problem is that the graphic card could not be detected in the other motherboard.
We have tried to slot in into all the available slots but no prevailed. When we slotted back in to the original server, the motherboard detected it, which means the graphic card is not faulty at all.
We are unable to figure out the Bios setting. We cannot change the Add-in video adapter to enable. It is always grey out. We suspect the Bios setting, but we are unsure what to do. Please help.
S1200SPL and PCI-E USB 2.0 Cards for Bare Metal Restoration
We ran into a problem on the original S1200BTL that was eventually resolved several firmware updates after we reported the problem and I'm now having a similar issue with the S1200SPl.
When trying to restore a system from dissimilar hardware running 2008r2 or SBS 2011, you of course have no USB after restoration due to the OS's not supporting USB 3.0 natively. Using other manufacturers hardware, it's a simple matter of installing a PCI-E USB 2.0 card and off you go. Log in, install the 3.0 drivers, powerdown and uninstall the 2.0 card. On the Intel platform, you get the initial beep codes then a non-blinking cursor in the upper left corner of the screen and that's it. We've tried this on several SPL's and used several different cards all to the same effect.
Has anyone found a USB 2.0 card that does not cause this issue? We've updated the boards to the latest firmware and it doesn't help. This is going to end up being a problem when IT companies that support 100's of clients run into issues where hardware crashes/dies and the servers need to be restored back to dissimilar hardware, especially this platform as it's very affordable.
Thanks for any input.

D..
Intel Server Board S2600CP4 Issue (power supply & graphics card upgrade)
Hi,
I’m having an Issue with my workstation and having several questions.
I’m running an Intel Server Board s2600cp4 with a Cool Master GX 650W power supply. Now the connecter between the power supply and the 8 / 4-pin eps / atx 12v connector melted and the workstation isn’t running anymore.
Here are my questions:
- Does the power supply provide enough power for the Workstation or should I upgrade?
- Is it possible to fix the connector at the power supply (4 pin ATX 12v) or would you recommend getting a new one?
- If necessary to get a new power supply, which one would you recommend? Is there a power supply which doesn’t need the 8 / 4-pin eps / atx 12v connector?
- I would also like to upgrade the graphic card to a geforce 1060 (GigaByte GV-N1060IXOC) which needs 6 pin power supply. Should this graphic card work or would you recommend any other graphics card?
Other Sytem Specs:
- Intel Server Board S2600CP4
- 2 X Intel Xeon E5-2670 8 Core @ 2,6GHz /Turbo 3,00GHz
- 32 GB DDR3 Ram (8 x 4GB Dimms)
- Adaptec 6805 Raid Controller 8Port SAS/Sata 6GBs
- 4 X Seagate 2TB SAS HDDs Raid 5
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
Robinson

S3420gprx 0xEAh
Hello,
I have Intel Board server S3420gprx, We had a power outage although the server is connected to a Voltage regulator, after the power was back. the server receives power, but its not functional. The BIOS is not running, and a black screen and the keyboard is not working.
Things I have done to identify where is the problem:
* Disconnected the all RAM, and when powered on I hear the 3 beeps error for no RAM
* Cleared CMOS
* Tried BIOS recovery (not sure if I done it correctly), anyhow same black screen
* disconnected the battery for a few minutes
* tried separately each RAM stick
the diagnostic led is giving me 0xEAh which stands for flash update, which I would really want to know what does it mean?
lastly when I leave it for few minutes the led shifts between 0xEAh and O X X X X X X O (which is not listed in the table)
Any advise to identify the issue is highly appreciated.
Thanks

SR1520ML USB Issue after BIOS update
I recently attempted to put a SR1520ML that had been retired back into service as a small pbx. I updated to the latest BIOS/BMC/FRU/SDR found here. I booted to the EFI shell and it ran the startup.nsh and everything appeared to go normal. I answer the questions, etc. After a reboot the usb keyboard and mouse do not work. I can see the video come on and it looks normal but the numlock never lights and the light on the mouse never lights. The strange thing is I can see on the screen right after it shows the processor and ram, etc. it says usb keyboard detected and usb mouse detected. I've tried several different keyboards/mice, cleared the CMOS, etc. but have had no luck. Is this a known issue and is there a way to get this working again? I was going to do a BIOS recovery but according to the readme I need several files on a flash drive or cd. They include iflash32.efi, startup.nsh, *.cap and fv_main.fv. I cannot seem to find this elusive fv_main.fv file anywhere. So I am stuck. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

rebuilding mirror set with onboard RAID on S1200BTL
Hi,
We have a server with an S1200BTL motherboard running Windows Server 2008. The system is configured with a mirrored (RAID 1) pair. One of the mirror drives failed. In the process of pulling the bad drive, the status of the good paid-half was changed to RAID 0. The system has been booted and is running with that single drive in RAID 0 mode. However, now we would like to reestablish the mirror paid with a new drive. The problem is that we can't get the system to let us change the status of the running drive to RAID 1, so we have no way to tell it to rebuild with the new drive.
We've tried using both the firmware setup (control-E during boot-up) and using the Intel RAID web interface. Neither one provides a way to change the RAID option on the running drive or to pair it up with the new drive. And the only option for the new drive is to also make it a Raid 0 drive (giving us two separate drives, not a mirrored pair).
I wondered about removing the RAID setup from the running drive, but I was afraid of losing data. The instructions aren't very clear about what happens when you remove a RAID set. I vaguely remember some training about this from 10 years ago, and I know there is a trick to making it work, but I can't find it.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Ben

Why will my S5000PAL not wake up from hibernation?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought an S5000PAL from someone in the area. I have set it up with a 2TB RAID 1 array using an SROMBSAS18E RAID Controller, 32GB of RAM, and it is running Debian GNU/Linux 8.5 (jessie). I want to make the server hibernate at night when nobody is using it. To test this, I used this command:
rtcwake -m disk -s 60
Which should make it hibernate for 60 seconds and then wake back up. What happens is that as soon as I execute the command, the server's fans spin down for about 5 seconds and then spin right back up, and the server will not respond to anything anymore; there is no output on the screen, pushing keys does nothing, and it never wakes back up. I even let it sit overnight and it was still unresponsive. I had to use the restart button on the front panel to force a reboot; even the power button didn't wake it.
Is there any reason why this might be happening? If possible, I'd like to put the server into an S3 (RAM) sleep state, however from what I can tell, this motherboard doesn't support it, so S4 (hibernate) is my next best option.
Thanks
Does R1304WTTGSR support Windows 10?
I have Windows 7 Pro running on the Intel server R1304WTTGSR (S2600WT motherboard), but it is unsatisfactory in two respects: (1) Windows 7 only supports 192 GB of memory, while the hardware supports 1.5 TB; (2) Windows 7 doesn't support added video cards properly. With regard to (2), I have not been able to get a satisfactory solution from Intel support (or the company Intel has hired for support).
So, I am wondering whether I could solve both problems by moving to Windows 10, which supports 2 TB. At present, Intel doesn't officially support Windows 10 on this hardware; has anyone tried it? Or maybe Intel is planning future support?
