I have a server with an S2600TP board and I have been testing trying to use the riser 2 slot for an additional PCIe card. I have tried using the riser from the AXXKPTPMIOM PCI Express rIOM kit, but if I connect any card that is PCI x16 the system will not power up (LED lights in the front and back turn amber and it beeps). If I put in just the empty carrier board (x8), the server boots fine. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version. Any suggestions?

s2600cp power fault beep code
Hi, im using an intel s2600cp, with two xeon e5 2620 v1 processors. they are tested working in another system. when i try to power up the system, i get the following error:

i have tried using 3 different power supplies, ecc and non ecc ram.

Thunderbolt adapter on LGA3647 motherboard
Due to the need of thunderbolt to plug in some professional audio devices, we need to find an add on card for our LGA3647 platforms to provide those thunderbolt ports. The problem is, those adapter cards we found all require a thunderbolt header on the motherboard, which C621 and C622 motherboards rarely have.
If we don't plug in that thunderbolt header, will the port provided by the adapter work correctly? Or are there any other solutions to this need? Thanks.

Intel XHCI controller with SR-IOV support (XHCI-IOV)
Hello,
I'd like to use SR-IOV for the virtualization of an XHCI host controller to passthrough to multiple VMs. Software USB passthrough is not an option in this setup, which is why I'm looking into SR-IOV.
According to the XHCI specification document (I accessed it via https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/technical-specifications/extensible-host-controler-interfac… ) in Section 8 "Virtualization", there should be a possibility to use SR-IOV for XHCI controllers.
I tried on a system with Intel C610 server chipset, with SR-IOV enabled (tested the SR-IOV support and it is working with an I710 network card), to use it with the XHCI controller on the Chipset, but that one doesn't show the PCI express capability for SR-IOV.
I'm wondering if there is a chipset or external XHCI controller on which SR-IOV is actually usable? Or does Linux just not show the capability although the hardware is capable? Is there support for it in the Linux drivers (it doesn't seem so at a first glance on the code)? What is the plan on proceeding with XHCI IO Virtualization in the future?

Problem access to w7 equipment with mesh commander
Good again, once again I request your help, I have two nucs with w7 that I can not access with mesh commander ...
In one of them when clicking with the mouse, the intelamt line does not appear(in mesh commander) as it appears in all the other 40 machines that I am monitoring with meshcommander, and I have with ctrl + p intel mebx, but it gives me timeout when accessing it, without with ultravnc, if it arrived correctly ...
The second case is a machine that asks me to put an acceptance code that shows on the screen of the machine with w7 when accessing with mess commander, the problem is that in intel mebx the userconsent line does not appear, and I do not know how to enable it to disable the opt-in policy ...

S3420gp and RAM
Hi everyone, i've searched for previous discussion, but every was locked. So i opened a new one for this question.
I have the over-mentioned board, s3420GP and some rams:
-4 sticks of KVR1066D3D4R7S/4G (mentioned on the supported hardware list)
-4 sticks of KVR1333D3D8R9SK3/12G
Fast conclusion: in every combination, the result is always the same. 3 long beeps and blinking amber led at the end. On the manual it says memory error. Kind of frustrating i can't find a solution. Maybe someone have some suggestions? Are those the correct rams for my motherboard?
Any help will be appreciated, A LOT!

R2208WFTZS loud after upgrade to BIOS: 00.01.0014
Hello!
On new R2208WFTZS server upgraded firmware package from stock 00.01.0009 to 00.01.0014 and now fans are on 7000RPM all the time.
All fan are working and I do not see any errors. See attached Sysinfo logs.
Does any one of you have idea how to solve this issue?

RS2WC080 EXPAND ARRAY
I have a server with a RS2WC080 RAID (Win 2008), 3 drives in a RAID 5, 1 as a hot spare. I want to add an additional drive and expand the array using the Web console. How do I do this.

DBS1200SPSR 3 beeps, High fan speed.
New build with E1230 v5 CPU, 2 x DDR4-233 ECC UDIMM, when powered up the led on the front and on the system board is green, I get 3 beeps and the fans start speeding up to a very high speed but no output to video. I have replaced the RAM in every slot arrangement possible. Tested the RAM on a different board both sticks were good. Put the RAM from the other system on the server board with the same results. What is the next step? Do I send the board back?

HNS7200AP Stuck at post code 0x19: SB PEIM

I've been trying to get a KNL on the HNS7200AP compute module to post, but it seems to be stuck at post code 0x19: SB PEIM, and occasionally resets itself and ges stuck again. Are there any suggestions on how to debug this issue?

Entry Storage System SS4000-E. Recover deleted folder

I have a Entry Storage System SS4000-E. Working very fine since many years,
I have to recover a folder which was deleted by mistake.
I have tried to connect the hardrives one by one directly to my PC and try, But all a get is several thousands of files (most of them unreadable), But no folder structure etc.

Intel Server Board E51974-405 does not boot into Operating System
My client does have a Intel Server board Part Number E51974-405 Serial Number AZGX03000432. They assigned to me install Windows Server 2016 on the server. This server was running Windows Server 2008. I installed Windows Server 2016 on the server from a USB drive. However, the server does not boots into the installed Windows Server 2016 OS.
I have also tried to install Linux CentOs on this server, to see if it will boot into the OS after installation. I experienced the same issue.
In addition, I also changed monitors and the issue have nothing to do with monitors.
Could you please assist me on why I am not able to boot into installed OS after successfully installing OS (either Linux or Windows) on this Intel Server Board.

Intel Rainbow Pass S1200RPM
Hi all.
I'm started to work in a new company. There is a server in a rack, the motherboard is S1200RP family. Taking a look at it I noted some strange wires at the back, wtf I thought.. Turned out that is Deepcool Fan Speed Controller. I disabled it and connected coolers like that:
Standalone cooler to SYS1 pin, one of the processor coolers to CPU pin and onother one to SYS2 pin (there is two coolers, how could I connect them other way?... also, I checked the manual and it seems that way is correct)
After turning on server started to make a loud noise. So I updated all firmwares (BIOS and ME) but no changes. Still sounds like a plane. Trying to set "quiet mode fan" and "non-performance" in BIOS but .. stays the same.
Please help, what else should I do to make it quiet? It seems like previous employee just don't give a single f.. at the problem and take the easiest way - installed speed controller. But that's not the best way, I think.

In Boot order options - I have tried to change to boot from RAID disk as well as from Windows Boot Manager - with no luck.
