Hello all,
I purchased a used S2600CP and got around to installing everything. I hooked it up and i do not get any display at all from VGA on my monitor.
I tried clearing the CMOS which did nothing and then i loaded the BIOS onto a USB and tried to recover it but i dont think its recovering.
Then I tried installing an old graphics card to see if that would work and still do not get any display.
The USB stick does not even light up when i plug it into the back of the board so im wondering if the board is bad?
I do have a flashing Amber Light on the Status LED and have attached what the manual says but i am not certain what those issues are.
Anything I should try to get some display?
Thanks!
Hello,
I have a server with one socket (E5 2650 cpu) and 128GB DRAM (8 DIMMS of 16 GB). As it can be seen from the specs the cpu has 12 cores and two integrated memory controllers. The first memory controller uses two channels(channel 0 and 1) and the second one also uses two channels(channels 3 and 4). Although the channel interleaving is disabled through bios (my setting is 1 -way channel interleaving) there is an interleaving between two channel of different controllers. The interleaving appears between channels 0 and 2 or 1 and 3. Can i disable this type of interleaving?
Thanks,

I haven't built my own server before, but after having trouble finding one that offers the p4800x as a boot drive, I'm going to build my own. I was hoping I could get some help with components that are compatible with the drive. Here are the specs I need:
-1U rack chassis
-Single CPU at 3.5ghz or greater
-16GB RAM
All other components that are compatible with the above will easily exceed my requirements.
A couple of questions:
1. It was easy to find compatibility info for desktop CPUs and boards to go with the optane 900p ssd. Any recommendations for chassis/CPU/boards that work with the 4800x and meet the modest requirements above with way overshooting the mark?
2. Looking at the endurance numbers, I'll never come close to challenging the 900p. Would it be ill-advised to substitue the 900p in for the 4800x to cut costs? I'm assuming doing so wouldn't change compatibility with the answers to #1.
Appreciate any guidance. Thank you.
We have one server with S2600CW2 board and it has few issues with LAN port1:
When restarting server, BMC link fails for some period and then up again.
Using LAN port 1 not possible to do anything.
Have to use LAN2 and MGMT port to be able to do anything.
When trying to boot to PXE using LAN1 port, then it fails for many first attempts.
Can it be port 1 failure and need to change motherboard?

Hope for hint and advice!

Hi. I have a server that uses 3-3 Terabyte drives to create a RAID 5 system for data. Had a crash and the Intel manager software said it fixed the problem but Windows Server 2008 R2 does not see it as a drive anymore. Just un-allocated. I need the data off the RAID! Any help please.
Hi Sergio,
I have the loud PSU fan problem with this redundant PSU chassis also.
Seems to be a seating problem with the PSUs and the cage...
If we firmly seat the PSUs in the slots we can "temporarily" fix the problem of PSU fan/(s) ramping up intermittently.
But if the server gets transported / moved the problem re-appears.
When the problem occurs, the server shows no alert status (the status LED is solid green - no problems reported), however one of the PSU fans is spinning at a very high RPM.
if you then re-seat the PSU, it silences the fans, and all is OK again.
This problem has occurred in 3 different new servers for us.
Is there a chance there is a known Firmware or Physical Hardware problem with these PSU & Cages
(Please note i've had the PSUs and cage replaced by Intel and the problem still exists)
Thanks,
Rob.
Hi .. anyone knows whether the S5400SF platform supports Windows 2008 R2 (64Bit) in EFI mode ?
Hello ,
I reading the CRPS design guide about PMBus Black box Command
The meaning as below:
Name: MFR_BLACKBOX
Format: Read Block with PEC (238 bytes)
Code: DCh
The content have "System Tracking Data(47 bytes)" and "Power supply event data(38 byte per event)",
and the "Power supply event " can record 5 event,
so.. the total length of the command as 47 bytes + (38 bytes *5 ) = 237 bytes,
I calculated the result with the design guide length is not equal (238 byte ≠ 237bytes),
Is anyone knew the correct format about this command(DCh) , or can tell me what's detail I missed?
Alan Chen,
Hello
I have a server workstation board and I am experiencing a system freeze with a CPU_CATERR -
I am trying to understand the data in the system event log to see if it will point me in the right direction:
I tried using the document here:
System Event Log Troubleshooting Guides for Intel® Server Boards
but to no avail.
BMC-Owned Sensors (GID = 0020h) Section 3.1 Table 5 Does not have an entry for 0xDA.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Board Has A C612 Chipset with 2 xeon E5 V4 2630 Processors on it.
Complete Info From the SEL Data:

Can one use (install) two of FUP8X25S3NVDK in ONE P4304XXMUXX?
E.G. by using a Broadcom MEGARAID 9460-8I
If yes, will there be 4, 8, 16 nvme ssd usable?
Dear Sirs,
any idea whether there are cables available that will support the following? Have to use 3rd party Chassis.
1) RSP3TD160F to direct attach P4500 SSD series (SFF-8643 to SFF-8639 plus power). It seems that the broadly availabe cables with these specifications don't work. When using a PCIe Interface Card the SSDs are recognized, but when using Raid Card they are not. Heard about cables called "U.2 enabler cable". Anybody heard of it?
2) RSP3TD160F to a backplane using SFF-8643 for NVMe drives. Same Problem.
Hope anybody can give a hint.
Regards,
Sven
Hello everyone, first time posting here.
I am using the TPM 2.0 module AOM-TPM-9665 on a Supermicro X10SDV-TLN4F and I used the example AuthPolicy to provision it, through the uefi shell, and enabled TXT. I followed the instructions at [1].
I did that in order to better understand how I can provision TPM. But now I have created a new AuthPolicy with a custom pass phrase and I want to use this one. The problem is that when I try to clear the old authPolicy, when I run `ResetPlatformAuth.nsh sha256 EXAMPLE` I get the error "Did not satisfy PlatformPolicy Provisioning FAILED Setting PlatformAUth to EMPTY failed". What am I missing? Any suggestions?
I am pretty sure I haven't understood something correctly. If anyone can point me on where I can get more documentation on the correct usage of TPM, I will be grateful.
Listed below are the Queries,
1. Are the System Boards ( Interface Cards) Similar to the ones in a 2U system Or are the HPC node based System Card's Different ?
2. Related to the HSBP of the 4 Node S2600BP - can you provide us with relevant Detailed information?
3. Are there Any Details Of the Chassis Drawing or Suppliers That we Can Get in touch with?
Awaiting for a Response.

Hi there,
I am trying to ascertain if the Intel Server Board S2600CP fitted with 2 Xeon E5-2603 processors is affected by the Intel Management Engine vvulnerability - SA-00086?
Also the same question for the S1200KP board fitted with an E3-1225 V2 CPU.
The article Intel® Product Security Center suggests that they aren't affected but other information on the net implies that the product list on that page is incomplete.
Can anyone advise?
Many Thanks
Richard

Hello,
I have the same issues as both guys above and i did a quick sysinfo run. I also posted some time ago about this problem (sc5600 and s5520hc make very loud fan-noise), maybe you can find there some info that helps solving our problem.
Thanks in advance!
