Unable to access bmc using HTTPS on S2600CW2 board

$

I have a server with the S2600CW2 board whose BMC web console I can access over HTTP.

When I try to access it over HTTPS, it does not respond however.

What could be the cause of this and what else can I do to troubleshoot/resolve it?

2600CP motherboard fan issues

Hey there,

I cant quite seem to figure out why my fans seem to hate me. The PCI domain fan constantly speeds at 3,500 RPM regardless of what i change and I believe it should be spinning at around 1000-1400 compared to what other people have reported but mine refuses to go down to that level. I have quite mode enabled so the CPU domain fans are spinning very slowly which is correct.

The event log shows no obviously errors and all the sensors are green, only a few are not available. The bios, me, bmc, sdr are all updated with the latest versions as well.

Is someone elses info where it shows 1218 RPM which i would love to have.
001a | Full | Fan | 30 | System Fan 1 | OK | 1218.00 RPM

001b | Full | Fan | 31 | System Fan 2 | Init | 0.00 RPM
Mine however is like this...

SC2600CO random reboot

Dears, I have a SC2600CP board in a server with 2 Xeon CPUs and 196GB of RAM.

This machine is used as a calculation node in a cluster environment, with other machines that has almost the same configuration.

A few days ago it started to reboot with no reason.

To try to identify the problem, I checked all DIMM slots and all the memory's looking for someone with error.  I tested all of them but could not found an error.

Then I checked the SEL logs:

The power unit Failure detected it is not the main cause, since I have replaced the power source and the problem remains.

All the sensors, Fans etc are OK. There is no problem with them, but the LED fault is blinking amber, with no change.

No errors reported on the BIOS, only in SEL.

I have downloaded the debug logs, but I could not check it because it is password protected.

The board information is as follows:

Manufacturing Date :2012-10-09   03:53
Manufacturer :Intel Corporation
Product Name :S2600CO
Serial Number:QSCO22700376

If anyone could help me, it would be great.

Hi,

I have a R2208GZ4GC server, and running vmware on it. I need to activate Direct I/O on the bios to be able to have a vm access my xeon phi, but when I do that, then my Raid Controller goes unrecognized.  I wonder if anyone noticed the same issue before. Thanks.

Bios update error on S2600CP: a file incompatible with target

$

Hello,

I've received a S2600CP4 motherboard from server disassembly.

This motherboard is working with 2xE5-2660v2 and 32GB of RAM (8x4GB Samsung 1600MHz registered).

Ubuntu OS installed without an issue.

I tried to build a home server, but the motherboard didn't start with a RX560 videocard. Neither with RX480.

Looks like it won't start when something is connected to PCI-E.

I decided to update the bios.

During the BMC update all ended up successfully.

But when I executed a command ''UpdateBIOS.nsh", I've got a message:

"Error: A file in the update package is incompatible with the target".

It seems that the current bios is incorrect.

I'v tried the next bios versions:

02.02.0002

02.04.0003

02.05.0004

02.06.0005

02.06.0006

The result is always the same.

Please advise!

Boris

P.S.

I'm attaching the photos of the motherboard, the current bios version and the update error.

Hello,

I have Blade Servers on MFSYS25, and I need at least activate Advanced Management Pack (MFSADVMGMT) for SysLog feature.

In a good case, I need the same for Shared LUN (MFSLUNKEY).

Our distributor said that he can't help us in this matter.

What should I do in this case?

Thank you.

SR1530ahlx server CPU not supported after BIOS upgrade

Hi to all!

Today i did an Bios upgrade to my old Intel SR1530ahlx server, upgraded bios to V 54 downloaded from here: Download S3000AH BIOS Update Package

After the succesful bios upgrade rebooted the server and i get this error message: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad Processors Not Supported On This Board !!!

The CPU is a Xeon X3220 2,4 Ghz and the server worked with this cpu before upgrading bios.. i did this upgrade because i was getting an error in bios CPU related, error 8020 if i'm not wrong, it was about the CPU stepping that the old bios was not supporting.

Already tried to clear the CMOS with jumper, also removing bios battery, i also tried multiple bios versions that i found: R40, R42, R46, R52

I'm not sure about what bios version i had before the upgrade, i think it was R34 but i can't find any older version, the oldest was R40.

Any one of you guys have the R34 bios Dos install by any chance ?

Also any suggestions are welcome!

Have been in a loop trying to get to some place to register Server component with an extended warranty key.  I also think that the server configuration tool gave use the wrong SKU, as it appears to be for a single processor system, and we order components to build the system since there was no integrated pedestal system..  I have all the serial number, just cannot get to the right place to try to use them.

Cooling issues and fans blowing hard after firmware updates on S2600CP Board

$

Hi,

I wanted to update the firmwares on a S2600CP that I've just started supporting. I previously installed Windows Server 2012 R2 on it and configured it as a Hyper-V Host and moved some VMs on to it and that was all working fine for a couple of weeks, including everything reporting as OK in the ASC.

So I tried to go to the latest firmwares (02.06.0006) via the EFI Shell and it failed the BMC update, at the end it said it could not leave Firmware Update mode and go back to Operation Mode.

I was on very old firmwares to begin with so I stepped through around 6 firmware bundles up to the very latest. When I booted into Windows I noticed the fans did not die down. I went into the ASC and could see the information attached in the images.

I tried downgrading back to the firmware before, which is what it's still currently on (02.06.0005) but this has not changed the situation.

Could anyone please help? Thanks.

Greetings.

Is there a way to get advantage of a RMS25JB040 raid controller if I don't have a compatible server board? Are there any pci-adapter cards or something to get it running on a trivial motherboard?

Thank you.

Hi

We are trying to configure Intel Server Chassis H2224XXKR2, (2U - 24 x Bay - 2 x 1600 W - 24 x External 2.5" Bay) , with Four Intel modules  HNS2600TP24R, (Intel C612 Chipset - 2 x Processor Support) we put the disks in the server chassis so the systems doesn't recognize the disk, although according to intel.com are compatible, we are using the disks SSDSC2KB019T701 (Intel® SSD DC S4500 Series (1.9TB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 3D1, TLC).

We try [crtl +c] and we didn't see there any button to make or modified raids (so we can see the disks connected), also we started from UEFI and in the BIOS in Advanced / PCI Configuration / We see the Raid Module so didn't show any button to make or modified raids.

The same problems in the four modules that we update with the latest Firmware.

Attached and image and link where you can see that the disk are compatible.
