We have a set of drives in a RAID 1 and RAID 5 configuration via the Intel RS25D8080 RAID controller. We need run SMART tests on these drives from a remote workstation. How can SMART commands and info be made available to external software from the Intel RS25D8080 RAID controller?

If it can't, what is the alternative interface to test the individual drives from our own software?
