Hi,

I bought S1200SPLR and Pentium G4560.
When starting with the minimum configuration, it does not start with the following message.

This CPU is not supported.
Update to the latest BIOS.

I thought that S1200SPL"R" supports G4560.
Why is such a message displayed?

It can not enter BIOS SETUP screen.
Should I update BIOS in BIOS RECOVERY mode?

Thank you very much for your help!

Find old firmware for BMC, server SE7520JR2

Hello, I have a problem. Server board Intel SE7520JR2 with the old version BIOS BMC (version 20). I can not update the firmware to v.52, because new updates are working starting with version 23. Please help me find the firmware BMC ver. 23 for SE7520JR2.

"BMC 0.23 or later must be preinstalled.

If this is not the case, please update the IMM firmware to BMC 0.23 before

updating to this release.

The boot block has been changed with the BMC 0.31 release but it is not

required for this release. The batch file provided with this BMC package

does not update the boot block."

S1200SPL (DBS1200SPL) - Questions about technical specifications

Hi,

I hope I'm posting my questions in the right location, I am about to purchase a couple of S1200SPL (DBS1200SPL) boards.

Curiously these are the only motherboards on the entire market that fit absolutely every single hardware criterion I have - unfortunately I was unable to find some technical details about this model, I already checked the following pages:

Intel® Server Board S1200SPL

1) Does this motherboard support the Core i3-6100 CPU? I was only able to locate i3-6300T and i3-6320 on the lists but it would be rather strange if the UEFI of a motherboard by the CPU's manufacturer itself would only support select 6th-generation Core i3 CPUs (that are in the same TDP class).

2) Some of the motherboards are to be used in workstation systems that are not running 24/7, does the UEFI support:

a) S3 - Suspend to RAM

b) S4 - Hibernate

c) "Deep Sleep" in S4+S5, also known as "EuP/ErP ready"

3) Since the model seems to be EOL - are there any details about a sucessor that also supports Kaby Lake CPUs?

Thank you very much for your help!

Bricked S2600G(L/Z)?

Hi Guys,

So i was trying to upgrade firmware on my server.

I ran flashupdt -u  <package folder name>\flashupdt.cfg and went away when it was "Upgrading HBSP and PSU firmware..."

After i came back the server was running - fans were spinning but no signal on the screen. I left it running for couple of minutes but there was no change so i rebooted the server - it didn't come back.

System Status LED is solid Amber and 2nd,3rd green POST LED is on which means: 06h Early CPU initialisation during Sec Phase. and it stays like that forever.

I tried to swap CPUs, run with only one CPU (both CPUs tested) and the error is always the same.

Then i tried to flash using BIOS Recovery Procedure and i'm getting 1st,4th green LED on and 1st,2nd,3rd,4th Amber LED ON with 2 Beeps and 4 Beeps in the background.

I also tried different CPU configuration and nothing helps.

The only difference i see (i think so) is when i have USB drive inserted and not inserted.

When there's no USB Mass Storage beeps happens so quickly as described in the manual but when i insert the USB there's 1 second break between each set of beeps. Maybe i'm doing something wrong?

Does it means i bricked motherboard?

Hi,

I would simply like to know if it is possible to Install an OS on an Intel S2600CW motherboard's M.2/NGFF slot's drive. If it is, what options do I need to enable in the BIOS for the OS installation to see the drive as an installation destination?

BIOS Update Intel S2600CP2J Bricked?

I attempted to do the update package (Sept 21, 2016) which includes System BIOS 20.06.0005, ME firmware 02.01.07.328, BMC firmware 01.27.9958, and FRUSDR 1.11. As each component was installed, it confirmed that it was successful.

On reboot, a short flash screen appears, showing only a few lines and showing the system BIOS is 02.06.0005 and Platform ID: S2600CP. There is no opportunity to go into the BIOS, and I am stuck on this short screen.

I next tried to follow the BIOS recovery procedure. The first surprise was that the BIOS recovery jumper was already on pins 2-3 (recovery setting) and not pins 1-2 (default). With the recovery media on a usb stick, I tried recovery leaving the pins as they were, with no effect on reboot. I then tried again treating pins 1-2 as the recovery setting instead of being default, again with no result. Leaving the jumper at pins 1-2, I removed the recovery media, and tried again, and this time it complained that no recovery media was found. Rebooting again with the recovery media reinserted, and still with the jumper on pins 1-2, nothing but that same short screen.

So! I know, this is an old board and interactive support has ended long ago, but if there is anybody out there who could give me some advice I'd really appreciate it.

So! I bought this board from a guy on my local buy/sell page, it came just bare. I got 32Gb of FB-DIMM DDR2-667, and two Xeon 5160s and two Xeon X5355s, checking the datasheet for the board to verify that they'll work. I drop in my ram, two CPUs, custom brackets for my Hyper 212 Evo coolers, hard drive, peripherals, and PSU. I turn it on by jumping the appropriate headers, it turns on for a second or so, fans turn, no post codes yet, and then it just quits. Shuts right off. Status LED stays solid green, no post codes happened at all, and no beep codes. Does it for both types of CPU I got. If I just put one CPU into the first socket, it works! Works well too. Posts, no issues, I install my OS, and I'm off to the races. Only half as fast as I could be.

So I start checking things:

  • I check both socket's pins, all perfect, not a single one out of line.
  • I check both CPUs, by putting one into the first socket, and booting, and then the other in the first socket, and it boots just fine, no codes.
  • I check if my PSU is going overcurrent, by putting an oscilloscope on the PS_ON pin and the 12v power rail to the CPU VRMs. PS_ON goes high (Shutting the PSU off) before the 12v power rail even twitches. It stays rock solid. It's the motherboard that's shutting itself off for sure.
  • I take out all the ram, peripherals, and fans. It'll still attempt to post without ram, but it'll fail. It still doesn't reach post, just quits.
  • Updated the BMC and BIOS, nope.

Hello!
I have Intel MFSYS25 in this configuration:
6 modules of computer modules MFS5520VI.
4 modules DPS-1000DB A 1050W Power Supply, all power supply modules are connected to the power network.

At the moment, only two blades of six work.
When trying to start one or more, the chassis writes this:

Server board S1200 SNMP

I have a server board S1200BTL, running Window 2008 R2. I'm trying to get SNMP working. I've installed the latest subagent utility and ensured the Windows SNMP service has been started. SNMP testers are coming back with no response at all. I've read through the whitepaper for the subagent, but it's not really clear as to which ports are used or if any further configuration other than default is necessary.

I've opened ports 161 and 162 in the Windows firewall, but since I'm doing the testing from the server itself, that shouldn't matter.

Has anyone had any experience with SNMP on Intel boards?

S2600WTTR Power failure if USB Disk connected

$

Hi,

we have several new Servers with the S2600WTTR Mainboard (System BIOS - R01.01.0021 and R01.01.0022).

When we connect a USB 3.0 Disk (WD Elements 2TB), the server beeps and restarts.

Beep Code: 1-5-4-2

Associated Sensor: Power fault

Reason for Beep: DC power unexpectedly lost (power good dropout) -Power unit sensors report power unit failure offset...

In the BMC Server Health log i have this entries:

807/21/2017 16:11:06Pwr Unit StatusPower Unitreports the power unit has suffered a failure - On-board 5V and 3V3 Power failure, - Deasserted
22707/21/2017 16:11:05Pwr Unit StatusPower Unitreports the power unit is powered off or being powered down - Deasserted
22607/21/2017 16:11:00Pwr Unit StatusPower Unitreports the power unit is powered off or being powered down - Asserted

This seems to bee a new Problem because on "older" servers i never had this Problem.

Any ideas ? any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

How do I update the BIOS on a very old S2600CP motherboard?

$

Hi,

I've just been given an ancient, refurbished S2600CP2J motherboard complete with CPUs and RAM and would like to get it fully working again.

The obvious first step is to update the BIOS but the oldest EFI update package available (01.02.003) states that I need to have at least version 01.01.1002 before starting or "the update process may render the system not operatable!"

According to the BIOS screen, my system is currently SE5C600.86B.99.99.x034, build date 08/23/2011.

As I have no wish to kill the system before I get started, is there any way of upgrading it to 01.01.1002 as a minimum?

Thanks.

Health Sensor Problem with S2600WTTR/S2224WTTYSR/LSI 9266-8i

Hi

We have three identical servers:

-Mainboard S2600WTTR / Bios SE5C610.86B.01.01.0019.101220160604 / BMC 1.47.10181

-Chassis R2224WTTYSR

-Controller LSI Megaraid 9266-8i / 23.34.0-0019

-Samsung Pro 2 TB SSD Drives

Problem:

On two Servers with ESXi 6.5 after a few hours of operation, single or multiple drives (even non-populated slots) will flash orange.

In the integratet BMC, warnings are logged.

But the LSI/AVAGO Megaraid Storage Manager does not display a problem.

After a restart (power-off/on !-not just restart) all Warnings lights are gone. But after a few hours they will be displayed. (not always the same drives -  its random)

On the one with Windows 2016 Server - No Issues !

Any ideas ? any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Mainboard: SC2600CP2R mainboard with 2 Xeon CPU's and 128 GB Ram, latest firmware, works perfekt.

RaidControler: RS3WC080 with 4x1TB Seagate Intel-certificated SAS Drives, latest firmware.

i am able to create a virtual device (raid-5 array with state optimal, 3 x 1 TB + 1 hotspare), but can't declare as boot-device, boot device is always "none".

This happens in boot-mode legacy (configuration with CTRL-R) and in boot.mode UEFI (configuration over PCI-Configuration -> UEFI Option Rom Control -> Storage Controler)

Installation of VMWARE 6.5 or Windows Server 2016 stops with "no boot device found"

I spend a lot of time, but can't find any error.

I would be very happy if somebody can help me
