Hi all.
I'm started to work in a new company. There is a server in a rack, the motherboard is S1200RP family. Taking a look at it I noted some strange wires at the back, wtf I thought.. Turned out that is Deepcool Fan Speed Controller. I disabled it and connected coolers like that:
Standalone cooler to SYS1 pin, one of the processor coolers to CPU pin and onother one to SYS2 pin (there is two coolers, how could I connect them other way?... also, I checked the manual and it seems that way is correct)
After turning on server started to make a loud noise. So I updated all firmwares (BIOS and ME) but no changes. Still sounds like a plane. Trying to set "quiet mode fan" and "non-performance" in BIOS but .. stays the same.
Please help, what else should I do to make it quiet? It seems like previous employee just don't give a single f.. at the problem and take the easiest way - installed speed controller. But that's not the best way, I think.
