RMM3 Issues

Hi,

 

I am having a few issues with RMM3 modules that are installed in 2 servers.

 

To start with my network configuration is as follows:

 

Baseboard NIC(Lan Channel 1)
IP: 192.168.0.201
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 0.0.0.0
Local Settings
IP: 192.168.0.25
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
RMM NIC(Lan Channel 3)
IP: 192.168.1.201
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 0.0.0.0
In this configuration I am able to access the RMM web page via the Baseboard NIC, but not the RMM NIC, I am also unable to ping the machine on 192.168.1.201. What would be causing this and how do I fix it so I can use both NIC's?
Another issue I am having is with the Remote Console.
The issue is that the server gets into a state that whenever I try and launch the Remote Console, Jviewer pops up a messages box saying "Error reading video data". Once it is in this state the only way that I am able to fix this issue is physically removing power from the server.
There are 2 methods I have identified so far that cause this issue:
1. The remote machine goes into sleep while a Remote Console session is open.
2. The server is shut down(but still has power) while a Remote Console session is still open.
I really either need a fix for this issue or at minimum a way to get the Remote Console working again once I end up in this state as I do not always have physical access to the machine.

S5000xvn/xsl 3 beeps

My workstation was disassembled, transported and assembled again.

After powering up the system it beeps 3 times.

Leds while beeping: R - Off - G - G (there is no such sequence in the MB manual).

Final leds  R - R - R - G (Reserved for initialization module use (PEIM)) - WTF?

 

Nothing changes, If I remove RAM from all slots. I got the same behaviour - same leds, 3 beeps.

Looks like RAM is damaged, but RAM diagnostic leds are off.

I have 4 RAM modules. I tried to power up with 1 RAM module in A1 slot (with each module), 2 modules in A1,B1 slots, etc.

It does't help - 3 beeps all the time.


Unfortunately, I have no another MB with FBDIMM-DDR2 to test RAM. Tried to replace video, clear cmos, nothing helps.

 

Is it RAM damaged or motherboard?

How to check it out? Any suggestions?

Welcome

when the server starts, I received the message "no such device 6d831fe7-e4ac-4042-8c30-efd30f9d54fb" I have to confirm that light is blinking triangle with an exclamation mark. What is this device? Can I disable it in the BIOS

S2600CWTS / P4304XXMUXX Power Supply Sensors Missing

Hi folks:

 

I just put together a server with a S2600CWTS board and P4304XXMUXX chasis and I'm having trouble with the power supply sensors.  It appears that they are missing.  I noticed it when as a test I pulled the power cable from one of the two 750w power supplies to verify that the alert system was working, and low and behold no sensor went red.  Upon closer examination I don't see any sensors for the power supplies at all.

 

As part of the installation I installed the latest BIOS package and the FRUSDR (1.07).  As far as I can tell it correctly identified the chasis.   I'm thinking it's some sort of SDR record issue, but as I'm new to this (I'm a software person by trade and only build servers on the side when I really need to), maybe there is something obvious I'm missing.   I'm attaching some screens from the management web page showing the SDR stuff and the sensors.

 

Suggestions welcome.

 

Note that the OS was powered down when I did this and I had the case open.  The sensors list is just to show what sensors it shows as being available.

s3420gp problem with rdimm not supported??

Hello Intel hello all!!

 

just i upgrade my systemboard s3420gplc from i3 560 to xeon x3470 and works fine

with i3 560 and xeon x3470 i had 2x2gb uddims a1 b1 slot working fine!!

i bought 4x rdimm 4gb samsung M393B5170D1Z-CH9 from support list in memory compatibility for s3420gplc

all rdimms faild(beeps)  and the serverboard has errors.

 

000x0x00 memory test error. memory failed hardware bist

i upgrade the bios to latest + bmc + sdr..


i have 2 sas controllers and when i disconnect them the problem exists.


can any one help me??

my bios is version SE5C600.86B.01.08.0003 (2013), can i update it right to the latest version(2015) or should i install earlier version and than the latest?

I have P4304CR2LFJN (with W2600CR2 board). This board contains only slow matrox GPU. I tried to insert GTX 660, but I was not able to use this videocard for video output and CUDA calculations. Is this server board can use only proffesional cards (for example, Quadro). Any advices?

Motherboard s1200v3rpm has no VGA output

Hi,

 

I come on this board to ask for some help about a motherboard s1200v3rpm that I bought it to build a SOHO server.

The most immediate problem is that there isn't any VGA output signal from the motherboard, so I am quite unable to figure out the situation precisely.

 

Here is my configuration:

- MB s1200v3rpm, S/N are: pba g62254-405 / bqrp-34600095

- CPU core i3 4350

- 4GB memory DDR3L Crucial (CT51272BD160BJ - officially supported by the motherboard as mentionned on the Crucial site), in A1 slot

- PSU Be Quiet Straight Power 10 (compatible with c6/c7 states)

- nothing else attached (I also tested with a sata 1TB WD Blue 2.5" drive, but it had no impact).

 

The boot sequence shows the following flashes from status / ID leds (POST code leds stay dark):

- (for 1s) ID: blue blinking 5hz, Status: amber light solid

- (for 7s) ID blue blinking 3hz, Status green blinking 1Hz

- (for 1s) all off

- (for 14s) ID: blue solid, Status: green 1hz

- (for 1 s) all off

- (forever) ID: off, Status: green 1hz

 

As I understand from the manual, various causes are possible, and BMC is likely not operational.

 

The problem is, there is no VGA output whatsoever from the MB (I verified cable and monitor with another computer and they are OK), at any moment during the boot or afterwards (so impossible to go to BIOS, etc.).

Also there are no beeps, plugging an usb keyboard before, during or after boot does not produce anything (keyboard seems unactive, as there is no light on caps lock and num lock toggle).

 

I did the bios reset to default sequence (using the jumper) as instructed in the manual, but nothing changes.

 

I am quite stuck at this level, if anybody has an idea and/or experienced the same problems, I would be gratefuls of a few hints.

Fanless power supply

Goodmorning everyone.

I have a card S5520GC which is housed inside a case SC5650DP .

I use the server as a workstation . My problem is that the fan supply is quite noisy , it was also new and now is getting worse .

I want to buy a new power supply , possibly fanless , can anyone suggest me what to buy ?

I do not have any extra power module , I have six hard drives and a video card , I just need a 600W power supply , I would just be sure you have all the cables needed to feed two processors , the board , the fans and hard drives .

How to do install Win 2012 R2 in Intel Server SR1625UR

How can I do install Windows 2012 in server s5520UR=SR1625UR. I actualized BIOS, but I didn't need actualize Controller RAID. My controller is LSI Logic 1708. It's support this Controller:

 

MegaRAID SAS 8704ELP

MegaRAID SAS 8704EM2

MegaRAID SAS 8708ELP

MegaRAID SAS 8708EM2

MegaRAID SAS 8880EM2

MegaRAID SAS 8888ELP

 

I tried installer Windows 2008 R2 x64 Datacenter, but the system reinicialize, It's not completed operation. Occuring a error when machine is reinicialize.

I tried install Windows 7 and Windows 8 too and ocurring a same error. But i need install Windows 2012 R2. The Intel IDA don´t have the option for input installation.

 

Please help me. Thanks a lot!

I have an S2600CW on my bench, I'm searching for the current chipset drv with no avail, the download page is locked, I also checked the Tech Advisories and nothing was mentioned. the retail box did not come with a resource CD. please advise on how to go forward. thank you so much

Replacing a failed drive in RAID array

We have a Intel RAID controller card, model number SRCSASLS4I. Anyone ever dealt with replacing and rebuilding a RAID array on this card (or a similar one)? We inherited this particular server and need to replace a failed drive. I've read through the documentation for this card and as I understand it, they want you to:

 

In the RAID Web Console

  1. Right click the failed drive and click Rebuild
  2. If (and when) that fails, right click the failed drive and click Prepare for Removal

At that point, we would shut down the server, swap the drive with a new one (same exact model), go into the RAID Web Console, right click the new drive, and click rebuild.

Just wanted to see if others have done this before and if this sounds correct.

In case we are dealing with TWO - 2 drive arrays in RAID 1 config. Just one drive in the first array is in failed state. There is not a hot spare configured. I cannot determine for sure that hot-swap is an option, so I am shutting it down to be safe.

Intel S1200BTS & Kingston KVR-memory issue

Hello.

 

I did check the compability list before I orderd myself a S1200BTS server board and a pair of Kingston 8GB ECC-modules and I can admit that I did not see the exact RAM model number in the list but I somehow in my own little mind thought that these modules would match.

No luck.

 

Kingston KVR1333D3LQ8R9S/8G is not compatible with the current S1200BTS and the firmware it was shipped with.

Just wanted to ask if anyone else here has experienced the same problem and what did You do to handle it?

I do however find it a bit strange that the board support up to 32GB ECC (4 slots) but in the comp. list it only shows 4GB modules as compatible giving it a total of 16GB installed.

Oh well, no harm done and I feel pretty confident that this board will come to support these memorys in a future firmware update (crossing fingers and toes).

I bought a pair of cheap 2GB DDR3 (making it 4GB) modules for $40 just to get the machine up n' running. No Beep errors (yay!) but since I did not get any screen signal I got back to digging for a solution to this "new" and exciting problem.

After clicking my way through intel.com I all of a sudden saw this little "Note" saying: "The iGFX feature in the graphic processor is not supported in S1200BT family  products."

I sat around just staring at the text and I did not remember reading anything about not being supported in S1200BT-series before I bought this board (2 months ago).

I guess my lack of 20-20 vision gave me some trouble here. Or am I interpreting that text wrong and infact the VGA-port is working and I am just a complete *** and somehow managed to transform that VGA-cable to a camel which you surely know does not send a working VGA-signal.

Well, way to late now. Will keep investigating in this matter tomorrow.

Feels like I should have gotten myself a Supermicro board. But hey, they probably have their own little quirks, like support for 8GB modules and a working VGA-port...

Just hoping that I am the problem here and not the hardware.

Hey all,

 

Apologies in advance if this isn't the right sub-forum, such a massive place, really not sure where's best, if there's somewhere better please advise!

Can any of the resident Intel gurus here, please help me identity all the parts I'd need to build the C2758, or one of the next models down in that list?

I've not yet found uber-detailed parts/specs lists for each of those units, but I'm assuming most -if not all- of it is very much standard.

Ideally I'd like to keep my build as close as possible to the pfSense units, except the chassis, that needn't be very similar or the same.

I'd also probably improve on the storage media they offer, as I believe the board's capable of much more than what they're offering?

 

Also, for some odd reason my old account here was disabled, but that's another story, I'll take that up elsewhere...

Adaptec 6405 and Intel Board DBS1200V3RPS

I have an Adaptec 6405 controller which I want to use with Intel Board DBS1200V3RPS. But the controller gets not detected by the board, it just does not appear while starting the system. I am using latest BIOS (BIOS02020005) for the Board. I am using Slot 5 (PCIe x8). Is there anything I can do on this?

When I pull the memory, I got 3 beeps.

S2600WTT memory slot problem

I had a brand new R1208WTTGS delivered today, along with 16x8GB Kingston KVR21R15S4 memory modules.

These are recommended modules for the S2600WT familiy http://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search?DeviceType=7&Mfr=INT&Line=S2600WT&Model=89560

 

The problem - none of the memories work in slot DIMM_H1 and DIMM_H2. I shuffled the modules, but the problem is only those DIMM slots.

I updated the BIOS (Intel® Download Center) but the problem persists.

So as none of the modules work in these two slots, the problem must be in slots. The system reads 112GB of memory, so 2x8GB is missing. The status for these slots in BIOS is 'Installed&Failed'.
